Cost of Using Fleet Vehicles             

 

To recover the cost of maintenance, deprecation, insurance, and replacement of Fleet Vehicles a charge will be made to each department based on their use.  This will be completed monthly by an interdepartmental transfer.

Charges back to the department will include a cost for vehicle use.  Fuel that needs purchased while using a Fleet Vehicle will be paid with a fuel credit card that is provided with each Fleet Vehicle.  The credit card is to be used only for fuel, only during the travel and to fill the tank before returning it to Facilities.  The fuel card is returned with the keys at the end of the trip.

 

Charges to the travelers department are*:

Sedan (midsize passenger car- seats 4 comfortably, belts for up to 5)

Under 80 miles                                          80 miles or more

$.56 per mile or current GSA$.45 per mile

 

Minivan (7 seats)

Under 80 miles                                          80 miles or more

$.56 per mile or current GSA$.45 per mile

 

3/4 cargo Van (2 seats and cargo space)

Under 80 miles                                          80 miles or more

$.56 per mile or current GSA$.45 per mile

 

Full Size Van (12 seats)

Under 80 miles                                          80 miles or more

$.56 per mile or current GSA$.45 per mile

 

*These mileage charges will be periodically reviewed and adjusted as needed.

 

LATE RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS: Kirkwood is not currently charging fees for these, but this is subject to change.  Please be courteous and call as soon as you know that you are either running late in returning a vehicle, or no longer need your reservation.
